I am frriggggen excited.

i leave tomorrow for camp. I direct the high school week. We plan to have more kids this summer than I've ever had before as a director. or as a camper. we'll be close to 90, which i think is prrrrretty great for a recession.

and can i just say.

i still don't feel like i'm old enough to direct at lakeside. (and this is my 5th year.) but boy am i glad i get to do it. I've seen two campers in the last week who were both SO excited.

One i went out to pizza with and you could tell we shared a great anticipation for camp. The other happened to change my oil when i pulled into jiffy lube. The conversation with the girl at the register explains the situation:

"so you go to camp with Aron?"

"yeah, i direct the week he goes to."

"well he's been talking about it nonstop"

"really?"

"yeah, he's REALLY excited."

"oh that's so good to hear."

"he's a good kid."

"i know. he's really great."

"oh, and you get 10 dollars off, courtesy of aron."

"What? that's awesome!" (i turn around and aron is right behind me, smiling.)

i love camp. and i love the students.
